PERANCANGAN ILUSTRASI BUKU “THE NAKED TRAVELER, ACROSS THE INDONESIAN ARCHIPELAGO”

Abstract

Abstrak: Dengan peningkatan jumlah tempat wisata di Indonesia, banyak wisatawan lokal yang membagikan pengalaman mereka dengan harapan dapat mempromosikan Indonesia pada masyarakat luar. Salah satu wisatawan yang melakukan hal tersebut adalah Trinity, dengan bukunya, The Naked Traveler, Across the Indonesian Archipelago. Dari buku tersebut, Ria Julian merancang ilustrasi dengan tujuan menampilkan perjalanan Trinity dalam medium yang berbeda. Proses perancangan yang dijabarkan dalam model tahapan perancangan Robin Landa ini menghasilkan sebuah pemaparan proses desain yang juga membahas pertimbangan-pertimbangan teoritis dan praktis.

Absract: With the rise of tourist sites in Indonesia, many local tourists share their experiences with hopes to promote Indonesia and invite tourists from outside Indonesia. One of the local tourists is Trinity, with her book, The Naked Traveler, Across the Indonesian Archipelago. From the book, the author then creates illustrations to provide an alternative medium of showcasing Trinity’s travels. The design process that is described using the design stages from Robin Landa explains not only the process of the design, but also describes the theoretical and practical decisions made during the whole design process.
